About

Who We Are

Our

STORY

IMMC3 had its origins in the stories of very experienced immigration consultants (Co-Counsels) who, nearing retirement, faced the problem of how to leave their clients well represented after they stop practicing. Ethically, they could not simply turn over their files to others (Counsels) without staying involved, to ensure that their clients’ needs would continue to be met properly. And in the case of business immigration files, it turned out that the transition process took much longer than many other immigration streams. Counsels also wanted a smooth transition when dealing with more complex cases.

At the same time, there had to be a way to provide both the Co-Cousels and Counsels with a financial incentive to devote their time to the cases, as well as a system of accountability for the client.

After trial and error, a system of graduated fee sharing evolved that recognized the roles of the CCOL and COL, rewarded them financially and focused the program on educating the COLs, so they could be fully confident to eventually handle the files on their own.

With the basic concepts proven with business immigration clients, the program was expanded to other areas of practice, with the focus on education, mutual benefits and our common Codes of Conduct. Productivity improvements including the development of templates for many processes, proven suppliers for non-immigration services and information sharing through a newsletter were developed.

Then, to better provide the services to all participants, an exclusive, members only website was designed, to organize the support available for all members and stakeholders and to better share knowledge, so that our clients could benefit.

IMMC3 is not just a way to connect practitioners. It is a business process that adds value to all stakeholders, in a sustainable way.
